Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Hello beauty enthusiasts and curious people of the internet, this is going to be my overview of the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. In conjuction with my opinion this foundation has been well known for its limelight in the youtube beauty comunity, being a blogger/reviewers bliss to use and review.

The packaging for this foundation has a certain element of luxury, the tall glass bottle and bright orange lid compliment the name like a dream.

You recieve the usual 30 ml of foundation, which is always a bonus. The shade range is reasonable for a drugstore brand like Rimmel, there are around 6 shades. Disappointingly, the shades aren't too great for people with really fair skin or people with darker more tanned skin. Although, i have the shade 103 True ivory which matches me perfectly.

The foundation itself provides an almost flawless, dewy but natural finish. The skin looks visibly brightened and illuminated with the help of this new found staple beauty product. I have included pictures below of what the foundation looks like on photograph, one with the flash switched on and one without.

Overall I think the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation is truly worth buying at the satisfactory price of £8.99 from Superdrug or Boots in the UK. It has a fully functional pump which is always good. The shade range isn't great but you could get away with mixing another foundation with this one. It is a great foundation for summer and is especially great for people with dry skin.

Barrym Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paints

Hello Everyone,

Today I'm going to review the Barrym Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paints, I've been wanting to do this post for a while but thought there wasn't any point because my collection of these just keeps growing and growing and i want you all to be updated on the shades i have and if i'm liking them, so i'm going to do an updated review in the future.

I have ten shades from this range, One of which is from the new spring pastel collection.

These nail polish retail for £3.99 and offer a very glossy finish on the nails, I love the formulation as i can usually get away with only doing two coats of polish. The lasting power is quite good for a highstreet brand, it lasts 3-4 days on my nails but i think thats long enough because i usually change my nail polish colour every couple of days anyway.

This shade is my newest purchase and is from the spring pastel collection, it is called Huckleburry and it is a gorgeous extremely light blue shade. It is so pale it is almost an off white colour. I like to do three coats of this shade.

Greenberry is my next shade, this is one of my absolute favourites from the collection. Everytime I wear this I seem to get compliments on my nails. This is perfect for spring and summer, although I do wear it all year round.

The next shade is Guava, this is a lovely teal colour

Blue Grape is the next colour, It is a vibrant royal blue and looks really pretty on both finger nails and toenails. For some reason this shade really smells compared to the others in my collection.

Watermelon is the next shade i have, it is a super glossy deep green colour. You could get away with doing one coat for this but I usually use two to prolong the wear of the polish.

This is the most neutral colour out of them all, Lychee. It is so wearable and glossy, I don't wear this shade enough.

Dragonfruit is a light pink with very light shimmer running through it. I believe this is the only one in the collection which has any shimmer.

Next up is Prickly Pear, a lilac/lavender shade which is perfect for the spring pastel trend.

Grapefruit is a beautiful bright pink shade, its super glossy and perfect for summer.

Last but not least is Pomegranate which as you can see is a deep pinky red sort of berry shade, this is a difficult one to describe. I love this one for Autumn, winter in particular but it can be worn all year round.

I have now done some swatches of the nail polish on my nails. All needed two coats except for Dragonfruit and Huckleburry which needed three.

Thumb; Grapefruit
Index Finger; Watermelon
Middle Finger; Huckleburry
Ring Finger; Greenberry
Pinky; Guava

Thumb; Lychee
Index Finger; Pomegranate
Middle Finger; Dragonfruit
Ring Finger; Blue Grape
Pinky; Prickly Pear

Appologies about some of the images in this blog post, was using my iphone 4s. I would deffinatley recommend you buy some of these nail polishes as they are of fantastic quality. Thanks for reading :)

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review
This has to be my current favourite highstreet/drugstore foundation. It offers a light to medium coverage with a dewy illuminating finish. It lasts on my dry skin all day without powdering or touch ups and also doesn't flake on my dry patches. Those with oily skin might need to powder this throughout the day.

There aren't a huge range of shades which is a real downfall for this foundation, but I have the shade 103 True ivory and it is a perfect match for me. The foundation costs only £6.99 for 30ml from boots or superdrug. I would rate this over most of the highend foundations i've tried.

I like to apply this foundation with either my fingers or a buffing brush (Real techniques or Ecotools) I have already repurchased this foundation twice before and will continue to do so.

The consistancy is fairly liquidy, which is good because it can be easily spread all over the face without it taking too long. Although i find that it takes a few minutes to dry onto the skin and if you touch your face within this time it will transfer onto your fingers/clothing but after that it is completely transfer free.

The above picture shows 2 pumps of product (I spread it around so you could see it better) This is the amount I use for my whole face.

Overall i really like this foundation and would recommend it to everybody. Thanks for reading :)

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Eyeshadows

This is a review on the famous Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Eyeshadows, I have 7 shades here to show you. Which are Endless Purple, Metallic Pomegranate, Permanent Taupe, On and On Bronze, Immortal Charcoal, Pink Gold and Eternal Gold.

The first shade I'm going to mention is Endless Purple, It is a beautiful metallic purple colour. I don't wear this one very much just because its not the most wearable colour in the world but when I do I get loads of comments on how my make up looks. I sometimes use this all over the lid and blend some darker purple or black through the crease or if I just want a pop of colour I use this to line my eyes.

Below is a swatch of the colour, so you can see what it looks like on the skin.

The next one is Metallic Pomegranate, It is a really nice plummy brown colour with gold glitter running through it. There lots of ways you can incorporate this shade into your daytime make up look once in a while. You can use this all over the lid, through the crease and as a liner.

This is a swatch of Metallic Pomegranate to show you its true appearance on the skin.

Permanent Taupe is sort of nothing-special brown shade, I have to say this is my least favourite out of all the color tattoo's I've bought. But interestingly it can be used for a lot of things such as all over the eyelid, as a liner and through the crease. But also for some unusual things such as an eyebrow wax and cream contour for your cheeks.

Below is a swatch of this shade on the back of my hand.

This next one is my favourite and most used color tattoo, On and On Bronze. I love this one because it is a brownish bronzey shimmery but wearable shade. This is the type of cream shadow you can just put all over your lids and then your done.

This swatch actually isn't doing the shadow any justice because it is a lot more pigmented than it looks on this picture.

Immortal Charcoal is a grey smokey colour, perfect for a night out as a dramatic base to get your eye make up look started. This also looks nice on the lower lashline as an everyday eyeliner.

This swatch really shows you how pigmented this one actually is.

This next one is a gorgeous shimmery baby pink with slight gold reflexes in there. This is a really nice one for everyday wear, you can also blend it in well and use it as a base for any colour powder eyeshadow.

The swatch for this is below.

This is Eternal Gold and is my second most used color tattoo. I love this because its so shimmery and really draws attention to the eyes.

This is the swatch of Eternal Gold

Overall I love the Maybelline color tattoo's and hope they continue to make more shades, especially in the Uk we are lacking in shades in comparison to the US.

On a side note, I have actually tried going swimming wearing two of the shades on separate occasions (Eternal gold and on and on bronze) and both of them were still on my eyes when I checked afterwards. I even went underwater wearing them and they didn't budge!!

Below are swatches on all the Color tattoo's (They aren't in any particular order)

Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water

Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water

I'm on a roll today, two blog posts in a matter of hours!

This is a review of the Garnier Miceller cleansing water, It is on offer at boots for £2.99 at the moment but i believe it is so popular that it is pretty much sold out everywhere. Although in Superdrug i think its selling for the usual price of £4.99 and may well be in stock, so if your willing to spend the extra £2 i'd give it a go.

At 400ml your getting alot for your money but i really hope they bring out a travel sized version because in July i'm going away for 2 weeks and honestly can't see myself without this product but also don't really want to take the whole thing with me.

What is a miceller water?
A water-like solution which removes makeup whilst cleansing and toning at the same time. It unclogs pores and removes impurities. It is gentle enough to be used all over the face and on the lips and eyes.

How to use?
Simply grab a cotton pad and pour a genourous amount of Micellar water onto it and wipe over your whole face, eyes and lips to remove make up. Repeat this step for a super squeaky clean feel.

What skin types would this be good for?
I believe this product suits all skin types, even those with sensitive skin.

Overall i really love this product and would recommend it to everyone who can get their hands on it. Thanks for reading x

Chilli Chorizo Pasta

Chilli Chorizo Pasta

This is going be how to make a super easy Pasta dish. The ingredients for this are cheap and easily accessible.

You will need:
Tomato and Chilli Pasta sauce (I used the Loyd Grossman one)
Chorizo (Fit the amount to go with how many your cooking for)
Penne Pasta (Chilli version) From Sainsbury's
1 or 2 Peppers (depending on amount of people)
2 onions
Sunflower oil
Celery 1or 2 sticks *Optional*
Mushrooms 4 medium sized closed cup white mushrooms
Cheddar cheese *Optional*
A wok
A saucepan

Below shows you the ingredients I used:

First of all, I started by cutting up the onion, pepper, mushrooms and celery.
You can adapt this to fit the portion sizes you want (I did this for 3 people)

I then put these into a bowl and to one side, out of the way.

Next, the SPECIAL ingredient Chorizo. The first picture shows it before being cut up, the second all cut up and ready to go into the pan.

In to the pan it goes, with some sunflower oil, Leave it on a medium temperature. You'll be able to tell when its cooked enough by the change in colour and texture.

The next step is to add the onions, mushrooms, peppers and celery into the pan, adding some more sunflower oil if necessary. On the left it shows them when first put into the pan. On the right it shows them when cooked.

Now we put the chilli penne pasta into a different sauce pan on a high heat for 10-12 minutes, then turn down to a lower temperature after that.

After that we add in the sweetcorn (you can see the penne cooking at the side)

Next add the Tomato and Chilli pasta sauce in

This is the finished dish, you can add grated cheddar cheese at this point but I decided not to as I'm trying to eat healthier recently.
